This fall the Social & Economic Sciences Research Center of Washington State University completed a study on the Washington State GEAR UP classes of 2000 - 2003.

The study proves what we've known all along - that students who are involved in GEAR UP enroll and succeed in postsecondary education at higher rates than those of their peers.

The GET Program is Washington's 529 prepaid college tuition plan.

You prepay for your child's future college tuition and have peace of mind knowing that the value of your account is guaranteed by the state to keep pace with rising college tuition.

Pay for college with College Bound!

The College Bound Scholarship is a program for low-income youth. If your family qualifies your child could receive college tuition for up to four years!

After your child applies, he/she needs to do well in middle and high school, graduate from high school, and stay out of trouble.

The scholarship may be used at a community college, a vocational-technical college, or a 4 year college or university. For more information and to apply online, visit www.hecb.wa.gov/collegebound or download a brochure here.

We're currently developing content for for the Educator section of our site, and we welcome feedback from users on what kind of resources you find useful and would like to see on this site.

The Washington State GEAR UP Program has created a number of forms, policies, and worksheets to help GEAR UP grant administrators and site directors track, complete, and submit the data required to run a successful program.

If you're from a GEAR UP program in another state, please feel free to use our Administrator's Manual as a template to customize your program's materials.
